I could not help crying when I saw the sufferers from the earthquake on TV and internet. Just in a few minutes, they lost relatives, houses, or even precious lives.
Everyone has got to know that a strong earthquake measured at 7.8 happened in Sichuan province on 12 May. I have heard that my friends in other parts of China also felt the tremor and dizzy, although they were very far from the epicenter.
I received the messages from my friend who was in Shanghai; they rushed out the office and went downstairs when they felt dizzy in the afternoon.
When I watched TV after work in the evening, I knew it’s another terrible disaster for our Chinese in 2008. So many people were dead, missing, injured; so many houses collapsed. It’s a gruesome sight!!!

I was shocked by this sudden news. What should I do? I totally had no idea. I just sat there for while with my eyes full of tears. I felt great pain when I saw people lost their beloved. I hope the injured people will get well and their homestead will be reestablished soon.
I hope no disaster, no disease again!  
I pray for our country and our people!
