Quite sweltering day! At first I only planned to stay in dorm reading a book written by Dennis C Carey who is quite a sucessful CEO. He talks much about how to run a company and CEO performance issues in the book, from which I really learned a lot. As Roma is not built in a day, Dennis’ success relys on his persistent effort.

However, after feeling like ant on a hot pant, I decided to beat the heat, by soaking my body in the cool swimming pool. Wow, the pool was packed, full of people who might be also beating the heat in there. I jumped into the pool, enjoying the coolness of the water. It was fascinating that I could do the backstroke all by myself. At approximately half past six, Henry came with his Samsung mobile phone. Gosh! He intended to make his video here in this crowded swimming pool.

Out of the swimming centre, I stared at myself. I had a tough tanned skin, even more black than Henry.

Tomorrow we’ll have our exam of listening course. I bid myself a success, even though this small accomplishment is hard to compare with Dennis.
