Everyone is in fear of death because they don’t know when it will come to them and how it will be like. No one can tell them what they will experience after they die. Is there another world? Is the world as horrible as the hell or as amazing as the heaven? All are unknown and mysterious. Actually, people’s fear to death is the symbol of people’s fear to the power of nature and life.
Life is short and unpredictable. We should grasp any chances to do the things that we are longing for or the things that haven’t been finished. We shouldn’t waste our time any more because you will never know what will happen next. I still remember one of my favorite actresses died suddenly in a car accident. It has been a real “wake up call” for me. It reminds me how precious life is, how fortunate I am to be still alive and to be thankful every day for this life that I have been blessed with. I think these feeling might be similar to the same feeling that we experience at the end of one year and the beginning of another…being thankful…reflecting on the past and planning for the future.
