Best Friends
Best Friends is quite a interesting novel I’ve recently read.
Alice and Gemma have been best friends since they were born. They were born on the same day and had their first two weeks in the same room. But their characters are totally different. Alice is very thoughtful, and would always be a girly-girl while Gemma is a little bit careless and hates to wear and do everything like a girl. She would always ask her mother to buy her a sparkly suit. One day, Gemma found that her best friend Alice got her own secret. If Alice has a secret, she would always tell Gemma, but not this time! For a couple of days, Alice looked weird and odd. Then after some time, Alice told Gemma that she was going to move to Scotland and she would be studying in a new school—a school with no friends. After Alice left, Gemma missed her so much that she cried a lot. Finally, she decided to give Alice a phone call. Although Alice’s mother dislikes Gemma, she allowed her to speak to Alice for seconds. Soon arrived Gemma’s birthday, which was her first birthday without Alice. On that special day, she got the parcel from Alice. It was a letter and a birthday present—a silver charm bracelet with four words on it—Best Friend For Ever!
When we have to say goodbye to our best friend, the only thing we can do and should do is to keep in touch with them and make new friends in the new school. I changed some schools and made many friends. Every time when I had to leave them, I was very upset and disappointed. But I really couldn’t do anything about it. Perhaps it is bad news to some people, but I don’t think so. It is a great opportunity to make lots of friends and at the same time to learn a lot new.
