Beijing Olympic Countdown:7 days left

Exactly seven days before the opening ceremony of Beijing Olympic Games, CCTV held a magnificent gala with the theme of 001320d123930982536226.jpgwelcoming the Beijing Olympic Games. As far as I am concerned, the gala was no worse than the annual Spring Festival Eve Gala. No programme in the gala was unnecessary. Instead, I was again and again moved and rocked by these delicately-arranged programmes. At that moment, I vehemently sensed the pride of being a Chinese.
In a magazine of Tianjin in 1908, again coincidentally, 100 years ago, a Chinese pioneer raised three questions to our Chinese nation: When will we send a team of athletes to the Olympic? When will we Chinese get a gold medal in the Olympic? When will we be able to hold an Olympic Games in our own country?
In the Los Angeles Olympic Games, the same year 1908, a young Chinese university student Liu Changchun took part in the Olympic Games as a representative of Chinese the first time. Again, in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, a Chinese athlete won the first gold medal in Chinese history, filling the blank of Chinese never getting a gold medal in the Olympics. And now, we will be perfectly answering the last question raised in 1908.
It takes one hundred years to accomplish our Chinese Olympic Dream. Now, we are facing the world with full confidence, showing the world the splendid history and modernizing achievement. We are, again, the center of the world, as the name of our nation’s inferred.
