Appetite
It is not excessive to say that appetite is one of the major pleasures in one’s life and one of our major duties is to preserve it. I suddenly realize why I am always eager to eat this or that.
An appetite can not simply be satisfied by satiation or over eating which will reduce the sensibility of one’s taste. One has an appetite due to his desire to have more and better than he has got. In a boarder sense, appetite means more than the lust for food. It is a state which keeps your longings and expectations alive. I want to have a piece of cake, or a cup of tea, or an orange, or to be with a friend. These are all normal and make my life more…interesting and lovely. Come to the lust for food, one of the weariness of campus life is that it gradually worsens my appetite. Although I still have as much food as I did before, I lose the joy. Well, actually, I try to preserve my appetite, a way of preserving the moment of coming back to it.
Life is really simple. I want to have fried chicken now…
